Day 17

I put briefs on Nathan today to try to train him not to use diapers anymore. I told him to tell me at once if he needs to use the bathroom. But since it's his first time, he couldn't help having accidents. When I was asking him what happened, this is what he looked like, pretending not to hear or see me =P.

Day 16

Nathan's favorite cartoon shows are Dora the Explorer and Diego which he watches before noon on weekdays on the nickelodeon channel. He found some stickers from a Pampers mail and put it all over his arm because he said they're his favorite =).

Day 15

The boys and I were in the front yard sitting on the swing. I asked Francis what he thinks is the hardest to do in school and this was his expression. Then he answered, "None really." =)

Day 14

It's fun friday every friday in Tristan's class. He gets to pick a toy from a treasure chest if he's been good the whole week. Tristan has come home several times with beaded necklaces, telling me that he picked them specially for me. Instead of choosing a toy for himself, my 'baby' Tristan thinks of me =). Oh, how my heart swells with so much love =)...

Day 13

I remember when I was younger, I super loved to play the game in the arcade where you had to hammer the head of the moles that appear from the holes =). Kids nowadays don't need to go to the arcade to play that. There are different kinds of whac-a-mole games you can buy to play with at home. It even keeps the boys busy in the car.

Day 12

Last night John picked up Tristan's glasses from Lenscrafters. Tristan was so excited to use it. He wanted to use it even when sleeping but we told him it's only for school when he has to read from the blackboard and for watching tv at home. Since we haven't bought the cord yet, he wasn't able to bring his glasses to school today. Tonight he pleaded with me to buy him the cord so he can use it starting tomorrow in school. Tristan was so, so amazed he can see clearly. He went to the different parts of the house to read words from a distance, words on the cereal box, titles of books, etc. It was only today that I really realized how bad his eyes are =(.

Day 11

I always tell the boys that as soon as they come home from school they have to finish their homework. Today, Tristan was excited to show me some school work he brought home. He said he wanted me to be happy =).

Day 10

The boys are usually home from school at 2:00pm. While waiting for them by the door I grabbed my camera with my 50mm 1.8 attached and took pictures of the toy bug our friend gave. I wanted to see how close my lens could get.

Day 9

They can't resist jumping on the bed! Why =P?

Day 8

While passing through Pearblossom Highway on our way to the City of Industry, I saw that the clouds looked like waves and the sun was about to set. This was about 5:00pm. It was wonderful to look at =).

Day 7

Tonight is movie night. John rented the Sorcerer's Apprentice and Twilight Eclipse from the Blockbuster kiosk. Only Francis was able to finish the Sorcerer's Apprentice with me. I continued to watch Eclipse while snacking on some peanuts from Costco.

Day 6

Tis the season for cough and colds and flu. The right side of Francis' nose is blocked so he's been using saline drops. Nathan wanted to try it when he saw his Kuya using it =P. Haha!

Day 5

Still practicing on catchlight =P. Can you see me in Tristan's eye =)?

Tuesday, January 4, 2011

Day 4

I was reading about catchlight today and I'm guessing that kids with lighter colored eyes have more obvious catchlight than kids with darker colored eyes. Tonight I asked my son Nathan to look at me and keep his eyes open and not blink and I will give him a surprise =P.

Day 3

We put up our Christmas tree a week before Christmas so our tree is still up. There are no breakable ornaments, lesson learned from a couple of Christmases ago =).

Day 2

Here in California we go up to the mountains in the winter to experience snow. But today it snowed in places with high elevation. The kids were so excited and waited outside. John was happy too =)!

Day 1

We celebrated the coming of 2011 at our friends' home. Our friends Gilbert and Deanne were my classmates since elementary. Our children are of the same ages =). Gilbert and Deanne prepared a well thought of menu which everyone really enjoyed! Every new year celebration it is traditional to prepare round food which represents prosperity. Deanne prepared a parfait of grapes, blueberries and blackberries. Healthy and super yummy! That new year's eve was one of the most fun we ever had!

Do Over =P

I'm doing the 365 project over =P. Hahaha! Welcome 2011!!!
